Under the Kolovrat ridge and near Solarie/Solarje Pass stands a monument to the Alpine soldier Riccardo Giusto, allegedly the first Italian casualty of the Isonzo Front. The monument of a flying eagle was donated by the National Alpine Corps Association (Sezione ANA) of Cividale del Friuli.
From Ponte San Quirino/Muost: Arriving from San Pietro al Natisone/Špietar, in Ponte San Quirino at the crossroad in front of the bridge take a sharp left turn towards Kolovrat (SP19) and follow the road for 1.8 kilometres. At the intersection turn right towards Drenchia/Dreka (SP45). Follow this road for 19 kilometres. After Drenchia you pass the settlement Crai/Kraj and soon afterwards turn left for Kolovrat. You reach the monument after 1.5 kilometres.
From Slovenia: Cross the border at the pass Solarie/Solarje and turn left at the next intersection. The monument will come into view to the right of the road.
