The military cemetery in Adegliacco in the Municipality of Tavagnacco is the only British war cemetery in Friuli Venezia Giulia. Here lie buried 415 fallen allied soldiers who lost their lives during World War II (English, Australians, New Zealanders and South Africans). The monument marks a grave of an unknown soldier, who died during World War I and whose mortal remains were transferred here from the former cemetery in Versa.
