Vittorio Podrecca was a well-known Italian impresario and producer of the Teatro dei Piccoli, which was famous worldwide. Another important figure in this business was Maria Signorelli, the creator and collector of puppets and marionettes. Her collection of more than 2,000 puppets and marionettes is under the protection of the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities. Signorelli’s and Podrecca`s collections of puppets in Cividale del Friuli/Čedad are spectacular and worth visiting.
