The Austro-Hungarian military cemetery Banjšice lies on a clearing on the Banjšice plateau, 200 metres south of the hamlet Lužarji.
There are about a hundred of headstones arranged in eight rows in this military cemetery.

The military cemetery Banjšice lies in a sinkhole in the northwestern part of the village of Banjšice, close to the hamlet Lužarji. The easiest access to the cemetery is from Kanal ob Soči in the direction towards Kanalski vrh and then towards Banjšice. While driving from Kanalski vrh towards Banjšice you will see a signpost by the road for the military cemetery; park your car there. After less than a ten-minute walk through the forest you reach a clearing; in a nearby sinkhole, there is a fenced area with concrete tombstones.
