To exchange experiences and synergies between EU projects implemented under different Interreg programmes on the theme of tourism, the Interreg Italy-Slovenia Programme and the Interreg Italy-Croatia Programme launched a call for proposals for the selection of the best cross-border tourism projects to be presented and networked for new collaborations during the EU Regions Week conference in Brussels. The selected projects are already carrying out synergy and capitalisation activities between the different projects. Among the thirty applications, the Walk of Peace+ and BeWoP projects were among the fifteen selected. The CROssing-ITA-SLOwly workshop started with welcome speeches of Barbara Zilli, Dr. Roberto Ciambetti, Laura Comelli and Eugenia Vianello, representatives of the Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia and Veneto and of the two Interreg Programmes, and Slawomir Tokarski from directorate »DG REGIO« of European Comission. The opening greetings were followed by a short presentation of the selected projects, after which the project representatives in the three groups (Natural Heritage, Cultural Heritage and Mobility) exchanged knowledge and experience and looked for opportunities for future cooperation.
