The Carlo Schmidl Theatrical Museum is located in Borgo Teresiano, in the 19th century Palazzo Gopcevich. It constitutes a landmark on a European scale in the field of history of music and theatre studies. In fact, it documents the theatrical and musical history of Trieste/Trst from the 18th century to the present day through a rich heritage ranging from musical instruments to props, from posters to printed books and historical documents.
