Organisation committee Krn – pohod spomina 1918-2023, Kobarid Museum, the Walk of Peace Foundation and other organisers at the 105. Anniversary of the end of the first world war are inviting to a 22. Memorial hike to the Krn lake and to commemoration of all fallen soldiers of the Isonzo Front.
The main commemoration will be on Saturday, 11 November at 12.00 at lake Krn. At 13.30 there will also be a commemoration at the Hungarian cross. The hike towards commemoration will be from Lepena valley, in case of nice weather and safe conditions also from Bohinj and Tolmin.
Due to the breakdown of the transmission line and the freight cableway, only tea will be available at the hut Koča pri Krnskih jezerih, while sleeping and a hot meal will be possible in Lepena at Dom Klementa Juga hut.
